I made these dolls for a gift exchange.  It was hard giving them up but they all went to a good home.

Knitting with Nieces

I just had a fun couple of weeks with my neices.  The oldest learned to crochet and the youngest learned to knit (Oh those darn cross overs).  Eight and Ten year olds can keep you pretty busy.  We went shopping for silly bands and Japanese erasers, went camping on the boat, rode bikes, camped on the boat, swam, played mini golf, produced a play, sang with Wi and ate a lot of pizza and Happy Meals.  What fun we had.  I will post pics as soon.  Have a happy 4th.

Get to Work

We are home again and things are kind of back to normal. If we could get the internet going at full speed that would be a God Send. I will have no real reason not to dedicate my time and energy to art and the gardens. Here is a pic that I drew for a Sharpie Blog. I really like it. Amy Winehouse is one of my favorite voices, even with all her problems.

New Camera

I finally got a camera that would fit in my purse.  It seems to take a pretty good picure.  This was a rough  day on the mooring in Stuart Florida.  Living in the on the edge of the St. Lucie River gives you a lot of wonderful shots.  I need to take more pictures, I hope this will spur some creativity now that the weather has broken.  All I wanted to do while it was cold was knit or crochet, neither of which I am very good at, but it was something to pass the time.

Where Have I Been

I have been a bad girl and not updated my blog in weeks.  We have been hoping for warmer temps but God has decided that it is not fair to give Florida a break when he has covered the rest of the county in white.  We have managed to stay warm by buying sleeping bags and running the generator a little too much.  I have taken to sitting in the boaters lounge and learning to knit and crochet again.  It has been frustrating, because the fingers are not as young as they used to be.  We did travel to Miami Beach for the boat show and the Coconut Grove Art Show.  It was a wonderful weekend.   

Sometimes Sunny FL

Sorry there haven't been any posts lately.  We have been trying to settle in our new winter home in sometimes sunny FL.  Living on a boat in a mooring field holds lots of challenges.  We have finally gotten settled and are looking for a little heat.  The temps have been low and the winds have been high.  I have gotten to do a little bit of crafting these past couple of days.  I will post a pic when I have finished the project, a shopping bag.  Until then stay warm.
